Free trials are great for trying something out for the first time because let’s admit it, we don’t want to always fork out a yearly subscription fee for something we’re not going to use.

With a free trial you can see if it’s right for you and you will actually make good use out of it.

We’ve gathered up some of the best free trials for students and freebies you can get your hands on. We’ve painstakingly searched high and low for the very best freebies and free trials because we know first hand how hard it can be when you’re a student.

To make it easier for you we’ve split this post into sections so you can scroll to the part you prefer.

Education

Audible

If you don’t like reading books then audiobooks are the one for you. Audible (which is owned by Amazon) probably has the biggest and widest selection of audiobooks for you to listen to. From biographies and memoirs to fiction titles and everything in between. They even have some of your favourite authors reading the books themselves.

Audible gives you a free 30 day trial and with this you get access to their wide array of audiobooks. Over 200,000 in fact.

With your free trial you get one credit which you can exchange for any audiobook and listen to free. The good thing is you get to keep the audiobook whether you carry on with a membership or not. You also get unlimited listens to 1000s of Audible Originals.

Reading is so important but some people just don’t get the time to fit it into their schedule. Especially when you’re a student, you have to juggle assignments, lectures, social life, a job (if you have one), family and more all at once sometimes. So reading takes a backseat.

Even though you know reading does good for you and increases knowledge amongst other things. This is where Blinkist comes in.

Blinkist is available as an app you can download for iOS and Android devices and you can listen to or read summarised books. Blinkist summarises the key points of popular books in 15 minutes or less.

Blinkist has books across many categories including sales, education, psychology, entrepreneurship, history, art and much more.
